Smitfraud Removal

The Trojan Smitfraud installs PSGuard which subsequently changes the Windows Desktop to a picture that appears to be a Windows fatal error, warning users that they have been affected by Trojan-spy.HTML.Smitfraud.c.

Smitfraud becomes installed on the infected computer by an adware program, detected as CWS.EXE, which is often downloaded while visiting certain adult sites or pirated software sites.
